    It can certainly take some time to get use to having hearing aids. Not only are things around you amplified, but so are the sounds inside of your head like chewing and swallowing. Depending on your hearing loss, how the hearing aids are programmed, and which domes or custom ear molds you have on the ends of the hearing aids , it may take some time to get use to hearing your voice again.
